The Egyptian Cure Bank signs a cooperation protocol with Banque Misr and the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development
The Egyptian Cure Bank signed a cooperation protocol with Banque Misr and the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development to provide medical services and health support to hearing-impaired children in some governorates in Upper Egypt.
In a pioneering humanitarian move that reflects the commitment of national institutions to support the most vulnerable groups, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Egyptian Cure Bank, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development, Banque Misr, and Banque Misr Community Development Foundation to launch the “Supporting Children with Hearing Impairments” initiative in Upper Egypt governorates.
The initiative aims to provide the necessary hearing aids to treat hearing impairment for 500 children, at a total cost of 11 million pounds, thereby contributing to improving their quality of life and giving them the opportunity to integrate into society and continue their education normally.
Mr. Essam Al-Wakeel , Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development, emphasized that this initiative is part of the foundation's leading role in the field of social responsibility, explaining that the foundation attaches great importance to cooperation with development partners in order to make a tangible impact on the lives of the most deserving groups, especially children in Upper Egypt, who represent the present and future of the country. He also pointed out that the partnership with the Egyptian Cure Bank embodies the commitment of both institutions to supporting the health sector and contributing effectively to the advancement of Egyptian society.
For his part, Dr. Moez El-Shahdi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Cure Bank, explained that this initiative represents a lifeline for hearing-impaired children, especially in Upper Egypt governorates, where hearing impairment is an obstacle to their normal lives and negatively affects their academic achievement and social communication. He added that providing hearing aids at an early stage protects these children from many psychological and physical challenges and opens up prospects for a better future.
Mr. Mohamed Farghal, CEO of the Egyptian Cure Bank, also emphasized the importance of this initiative to support hearing-impaired children, especially those in Upper Egypt, who suffer from hearing loss, which constitutes a major obstacle to their normal lives and negatively affects their academic and social development. He added that this initiative aims to provide assistance to these children and their families, ensuring a better future for them and protecting them from the many psychological and physical challenges resulting from a lack of early intervention to treat hearing loss.
This collaboration reflects an inspiring model of integration between financial and charitable institutions and civil society, achieving sustainable development goals and empowering vulnerable groups across the country.
