Statistics indicate that the percentage of premature babies (who are born before the thirty-seventh week of pregnancy) in Egypt is about 20%, equivalent to 60,000 premature babies annually, and due to the severe shortage and unfair distribution in hospitals for nurseries and the high cost of booking newborns, the Egyptian Cure Bank has established a program to equip nurseries and work to increase them in hospitals in different governorates.
The Egyptian Cure Bank offers a hospital nursery program, which aims to provide integrated medical care for newborns and premature babies, who need intensive care in specialized intensive care units.
Program Objectives:
- Providing nurseries equipped with the latest medical technologies to save the lives of newborns and premature babies.
- Provide necessary medical care for children with critical health problems, such as breathing difficulties, congenital malformations and infections.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children.
- Providing the necessary health care for children with critical health problems.
Target segmentations:
- Newborns and premature babies who need extreme care.
- Children with critical health problems.
- Children from families unable to afford treatment.
